On the morning of Friday 26th December 2025, the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission Mrs. Wendy Didon presented the Report on the Conduct of the 2025 Presidential and National Assembly Elections, including both the first and second ballots, to the Speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Azarel Ernesta in accordance with Article 116(2) of the Constitution of Seychelles. The Chairperson was accompanied by the Chief Electoral Officer Mrs. Manuella Amesbury, and Commissioners Patrick Hoareau Jenny Adrienne and Bernadette Furneau.

The Report outlines the conduct of political bodies and campaigns leading up to the election, provides insights into the election itself, and offers recommendations aimed at ensuring fair and effective electoral processes in the future. Mrs. Didon provided a detailed explanation of the significance of the Report and the findings of the Electoral Commission, followed by a brief on the process by which information is gathered from various stakeholders to formulate well-informed recommendations. Hon. Ernesta raised a point on the potential for the National Assembly to collaborate with the Electoral Commission on voter education programmes, noting that such partnerships are common in other legislative bodies worldwide to help the public better understand their constitutional rights and responsibilities.
