The Honourable Deputy Clerk, Ms. Alexandria Faure, was born in the Seychelles and lived abroad, in the UK and the UAE for the majority of her childhood and schooling years. She returned to Seychelles in 2015 and was heavily involved in the Aeropolitical field of the aviation industry as an Aeropolitical and Government Affairs Manager with Air Seychelles after completing a management training programme run by Etihad Airways. Ms. Faure later joined Parliament as the Public Relations & Protocol Manager, also serving as Committee Secretary on the then Women’s Committee and the Media, Youth & Culture Committee.

In October 2020, Ms. Faure was promoted to the Office of the Deputy Clerk. In her current role as the Deputy Chief Advisor, Clerk at the Table and in assisting the Office of the Clerk in leading and directing all departments within the National Assembly Service, she also serves as Committee Clerk to the Finance & Public Accounts Committee and the House Committee.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Masters in Global Diplomacy and is currently completing a Bachelor of Laws with the University of London.  She has always been passionate about environmental sustainability and is the current Chairperson of the Environmental Policy Implementation Committee of the National Assembly Service whereby she is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the National Assembly's progress in implementing different action plans to become a sustainable and environmentally friendly institution. This Committee has spearheaded environmental projects which has catapulted the National Assembly of Seychelles as a leading governmental institution in embedding green strategies and environmental protection in the heart of its operations.

Wearing many hats, Ms. Faure is the Chairperson of the Seychelles National Youth Council Advisory Committee and a Member of the University of Seychelles’ Peace and Diplomacy Research Institute (PDRI) Advisory Committee. Ms. Faure has served as a Member of the Board of the Seychelles Media Commission as well as having volunteered with a few youth led NGOs within civil society.
