On Tuesday 9th September 2025, members of the Parlement régional des jeunes de l’Indianocéanie (PRJIO) Seychelles Cohort, Ms. Camilla Cupidon and Ms. Nadisha Malbrook met with the Chief Executive Officer and representatives of the Seychelles National Youth Council (SNYC) Mr. Albert Duncan. The young Members were accompanied and supported by the Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly of Seychelles Ms. Alexandria Faure, in her capacity as Focal Person between the National Assembly and the PRJIO.
The purpose of the meeting was to explore avenues of collaboration between the SNYC and the Seychelles representatives of PRJIO to strengthen efforts towards achieving the objectives of the organisation, whilst also enhancing opportunities for youth in Seychelles.
Discussions were centred on the various thematic areas currently prioritised by PRJIO and the ways in which the SNYC can support these through its programmes, events, and activities. Both parties recognised the importance of working closely to ensure that young people in Seychelles benefit from regional networking and capacity-building opportunities. They also expressed future collaboration with the Seychelles National Youth Assembly (SNYA), recognising the value of engaging with local youth platforms and advancing shared goals.
Mr. Duncan commended the members of PRJIO for their work and dedication, particularly in the area of regional networking, and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the Seychelles delegation in their endeavours.
Alongside Ms. Cupidon and Ms. Malbrook, the Seychelles PRJIO delegation also includes Mr. Fabien Jeanne, Ms. Elgin Crea, Mr. Fredo Dubel, and Mr. Steve Monnaie, who together form the full team representing Seychelles at the regional youth parliament.
