The Honourable Member Mr. Wilbert Herminie was born on the 29th of January 1982 and resides in Mont Buxton with his wife and two children.
His education began in English River where he attended Primary and Secondary School. Later in life, he achieved a Bachelor in Civil Engineering from the University of Bolton, United Kingdom, as well as obtaining a Master’s Degree in Strategic Management from the University of Ireland. Hon. Herminie dedicated the majority of his career to the W.H. Engineering Consultancy, where he was engaged in both civil and structural engineering, and a portfolio of over 300 private projects to date. He also spent 4 years employed at the Seychelles Land Transport Agency, where he held the post of Director responsible for the management, engineering design, and overall capital projects undertaken by the Agency.
After a decade engaged in civil engineering, he entered the political service as the Chairperson of the English River Branch for US in 2015. Hon. Herminie then successfully secured a seat as the elected Member for the English River District in 2016, under the Parti Lepep Party. During the 6th Assembly, he was a Member of the Committee on Government Assurances (COGA), the Island Committee, and the Member Reform and Modernization Committee.
In 2023, Hon. Herminie was sworn in as a Proportionately Elected Member of the 6th Assembly for the United Seychelles Party, replacing Mr. Paul Ernesta. During this mandate, he continued to represent his district with a focus on infrastructure and youth development. During the 7th Assembly, he was a Member of the Media, Youth, Sports and Culture Committee (MYSCC), and the Standing Order Committee.
Hon. Herminie was sworn in as a Proportionate Member of the 8th Assembly on Tuesday 28th of October 2025, for his third parliamentary mandate.
