The Honourable Member Mr. Robert David was born on the 16th of June 1975 and is a resident of Mont Buxton alongside his spouse and four children.
Following his completion of the National Youth Service in 1993, Hon. David pursued his educational career with the School of Business Studies as his foundation for growth. He then attended the Malaysian Insurance Institute, Singapore College of Insurance, Seychelles Institute of Management, and the University of Seychelles. His qualifications span Diplomas from Business Studies and Accounting, to Commercial General Insurance and Risk Management. In 2012, Hon. David achieved a Masters Degree in Leadership and Strategy.
His vocational background was supplemented by his extensive education, beginning in 1996 at the State Assurance Corporation of Seychelles (SACOS), followed by a progression to Managing Director of the Progress Insurance Broker (Pty) Ltd. During this time, Hon. David acted as a Lecturer in the SACOS Insurance training programme, as well as retaining the position of Chairperson of the Seychelles Insurance Broker Association. His entry into the political sphere began through public service in 2008, as he worked as the District Administrator for Mont Buxton. Hon. David had also participated in the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Youth Parliament, enhancing his knowledge of legislative processes and global affiliations.
Before his entry into parliament, Hon. David was the Chairperson of the US Branch, acting as a community leader and organising district activities. In his role as a religious leader, Hon. David also held the position of National Coordinator for the Singles For Christ (SFC) Ministry, under the Couples for Christ.
Hon. David was sworn in as a Member of the 8th Assembly on Tuesday 28th of October 2025, for his first parliamentary mandate, and hopes to inspire the youth and members of the Mont Buxton constituency to work hard and achieve their goals.
