The Honorable Member, Mr Georges Romain was born on the 12th of December 1969.
Hon. Romain is married with two children and sees himself as a down-to-earth individual that is able to communicate with people from all different backgrounds and walks of life.
He began his career in the aviation industry, working for Air Seychelles in 1989, at the age of 20.
Further to this, he has held several positions in other travel agencies, notably ; Mason’s Air Travel, Orchid Travel, Seashell Travel and lastly, SilverPearl Tours and Travel in which he took up the role as Managing Director. Hon. Romain also had the opportunity to be the Head of General Sales Agent for Kenya Airways. In 2003, He moved to the United Kingdom whereby he worked as a Travel Consultant at an international travel agency known as the American Express.
In 2020, he decided to change his career path and move back to Seychelles to enter the field of politics after being offered the candidature of Anse Etoile MNA for the ‘Linyon Demokratik Seselwa’ (LDS) party. Hon. Romain was successful and secured a seat as an elected Member and is now a Member of the Finance and Public Accounts Committee (FPAC).
