The Honourable Member Mr. Dominic Savy was born on the 6th of July 1972 and is a resident of Takamaka.
Hon. Savy is an experienced Air Traffic Controller and Search and Rescue (SAR) Manager, with over 30 years of service in the civil aviation sector. Through leadership roles within the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA), Hon. Savy was an instrumental figure in advancing both SAR coordination and aviation safety frameworks through regional and technical training. He advanced from Air Traffic Control Assistant through the ranks, until his most recent post as Air Traffic Controller and Manager of SAR. During this tenure, he was seconded to the National Information Sharing and Coordination Centre (NISCC) where he occupied the post of Deputy Director.
Throughout his career, Hon. Savy actively participated in various committees and international affiliations including holding the post of Chairperson of the Steering Committee for the formulation of the National SAR Committee, Member of the Airport Emergency Preparedness Committee, and Member of the regional SAR Task Forces and the Mombasa Protocol Working Groups. For the last four years, Hon. Savy was the Chairperson of the Marine Accident Investigation Board (MAIB).
Hon. Savy successfully secured a seat for the Takamaka District under the Linyon Demokratik Seselwa Party, following the 2025 election.
Hon. Savy was sworn in as a Member of the 8th Assembly on Tuesday 28th of October 2025, for his first parliamentary mandate.
