The Honourable Member Mrs. Denise Annette Clarisse was born on the 26th of September 1982 and is a resident of Beau Vallon. She is married and a proud mother of three boys. Her early education began at Beau Vallon Primary and Secondary Schools, where she developed a strong sense of community and responsibility that would later guide her professional and public life.
Her professional journey commenced in 2001 at the Creole Institute, where she held the post of Receptionist. Her diligence and commitment to excellence led to her promotion to the position of Assistant Research Officer. In 2007, she transitioned to the Beau Vallon District Administration marking the start of a long and dedicated career in public service. Over the years, she has served in various District Administrations, including the Perseverance 2, Beau Vallon, and St. Louis Districts. Her leadership qualities and extensive experience in community affairs culminated in her appointment as the Director General for Community Affairs at the Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs, a position she held from 2022 to 2025.
Hon. Clarisse is passionate about being a positive role model for women and youth, aspiring to use her platform to amplify the voices of her constituents and advocate for responsible citizenship, education, and community empowerment. A devoted member of her district and a true people’s person, Hon. Clarisse also finds joy and inspiration in nature.
Hon. Clarisse was sworn in as a Member of the 8th Assembly on Tuesday 28th of October 2025, for her first parliamentary mandate.
