The Honourable Member Mr. Conrad Gabriel was born on the 14th of May 1974 and is a resident of Pointe Larue. He is married and a proud father of two children.
His education began in Anse Aux Pins Primary School, before moving to Pointe Larue in his childhood. Later on in his educational development, he enrolled in the National Youth Service (NYS) for a period of two years. While growing up, Hon. Gabriel was an avid sports fan and proficient basketball player for his district team the Pointe Larue Falcons. His basketball career also continued to flourish, as he explored other teams such as the SMB Razorbacks (Razors) who were a top-division team in their prime. Hon. Gabriel then furthered his studies at the Seychelles Polytechnic School of Business Studies, preparing him for a diverse career ahead.
Shortly after his studies, he gained employment at Printec Press Holdings as an Accounts Assistant. Hon. Gabriel then ventured into the tourism industry, where he was employed in various luxury hotels across Seychelles, including Desroches, Denis Island, Silhouette, Banyan Tree, and Fregate Island. During his employment at the Seychelles Marketing Board (SMB), Hon. Gabriel was involved in the Prawn Farming industry based on Coëtivy Island. His other working experience included various government Ministries and Departments such as the Treasury, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Employment, Ministry of Environment, and the Seychelles Bureau of Standards.
His entry into politics came by a direct request from the United Seychelles Party to which Hon. Gabriel accepted and stood successfully in the 2020 election. He participates actively in community support and development initiatives, ensuring that the District of Pointe Larue progresses in a positive direction. During the 7th Assembly, Hon. Gabriel was a Member of the Finance and Public Accounts Committee (FPAC), Scrutiny of Bills Committee, Media, Youth, Sports and Culture Committee (MYSCC), and a Member of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP).
Hon. Gabriel was sworn in as a Member of the 8th Assembly on Tuesday 28th of October 2025, for his second parliamentary mandate, where he aims to accomplish the goals of the incumbent government and empower the youth with the skills and the wings to fly high in their achievements.
