The Honourable Member Mr. Colin Tirant was born on 22nd January 1980 and resides in the District of Glacis with his wife and two children. A former student of Glacis and Beau Vallon Secondary School, Hon. Tirant continued his education at the Seychelles Polytechnic after his enrolment in the National Youth Service in 1997.
Hon. Tirant built a distinguished career spanning over two decades at the Public Utilities Corporation (PUC), where he rose through the ranks from Engineering Tradesman, Draftsman, Supervisor, and finally culminating in the role of Superintendent. Throughout his professional journey, he gained extensive expertise in electricity distribution, network supervision, GIS-based management, and the planning and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical systems across Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue. He is qualified in a range of technical areas such as Electrical Engineering and Regulation, Software and Technical applications, as well as pursuing training in professional communication development.
Hon. Tirant’s experience also includes project coordination, customer service management, and staff supervision, where he demonstrated a strong commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement within the national electricity sector.
As an Elected Member of the National Assembly, Hon. Tirant aspires to serve the people of Seychelles without regard to political affiliations. He is deeply committed to working for the welfare of all citizens and remains ever ready to assist those in need.
Hon. Tirant was sworn in as a Member of the 8th Assembly on Tuesday 28th of October 2025, for his first parliamentary mandate.
