The Hon. Buthelezi thanked the Speaker for the warm welcome and provided an overview of the reason for the visit of the delegation to Seychelles. He further explained that the visit is to provide the delegation with information and learn best practices as Eswatini is planning to switch from a National Provident Fund system to a Pension Fund system. It was highlighted that the delegation has met with the Seychelles Pension Fund Board and will be having various meetings with other entities to further exchange best practices.

The Speaker welcomed the delegation and explained the system and provided guidance on the importance of ensuring that the system they decide to implement is sustainable. Hon. Henrie discussed the education of the citizens of Seychelles and the importance of voluntary contributions.

The discussions were fruitful and both delegations were able to share information about both national parliaments.  The delegation ended their meeting with a tour of the parliamentary Museum and the Chamber.

In attendance at the meeting was also Mr. Darell Bristol, Head of Corporate Communications at the Seychelles Pension Fund.
