The Leader of the Opposition , Hon. Sebastien Pillay assisted the Bermuda House of Assembly in building the capacity of its new and returning elected Members of Parliament.

The Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Hon. Sebastien Pillay successfully participated as a panelist at the virtual Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) “Post-Election Seminar” for the Bermuda House of Assembly, that took place from 1-3 December 2020.

Hon. Pillay shared his experiences and insight drawn from the National Assembly of Seychelles and international exposures to build the capacity of the new and returning elected Members of Parliament from the Bermuda House of Assembly.

The aim of the Seminar was to disseminate information on diverse good practices in Commonwealth Parliaments and to promote an understanding of the way parliamentary practices and procedures can embed good governance into the parliamentary system in Bermuda.

The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association commended Hon. Pillay for his participation and his commitment to the agenda of the Association.
