Delegation from Mauritius Supreme Court pays Courtesy Call to the Speaker

A delegation from the Mauritius Supreme Court today paid a courtesy call to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Dr. Patrick Herminie at the National Assembly, Ile du Port.

The five member delegation was headed by H.E. the Hon. Chief Justice, Mr. Yeung Kam John Yeung Sik Yuen and are currently in the country on the 8^th Session of Bilateral visit between the Seychelles and Mauritius.

During the courtesy visit, the Hon’ble Speaker and H.E. the Chief Justice briefly discussed the areas of cooperation between the Seychelles and the Mauritian Judiciary, as well as the recent reforms in the Seychelles judiciary.

The Hon’ble Speaker and H.E. the Chief Justice also discussed briefly on the two systems of governance in the two countries, and the structure and function of the National Assembly of Seychelles, and the good working relationship between the National Assemblies of the two countries.

During their discussions the Mauritian Chief Justice also expressed his satisfaction at the success of the bilateral visits between the Seychelles and Mauritian Judiciary thus far.
