The Speaker praised the long-standing relationship share by Seychelles and Russia and said that such cooperation should also be extended at parliament level.“Seychelles and Russia has enjoyed an excellent relationship, dating back to the Soviet Union. Many of our professionals have been trained in Russia but unfortunately such partnership does not exist between our two parliaments”, said the Speaker.

The National Assembly of Seychelles and the State Duma of the Russian Federation will formalize their relationship next year, through exchange visits by members from both parliaments.
